Originally set for a July release, The Game's junior album "L.A.X." was pushed back to September 2nd.If you read my past rant about album push backs and stuff, you would know that I HATE it when albums get pushed back. Around that time period, The Game was added to my list of hot ones. When you are a hot one, I don't download your album before I buy it. But I do preview it lol. I waited and waited to September 2nd to roll around. On August 31, I walked into CDepot and saw the album sitting right in front of me as soon as I walked in the door. Ecstatic I was, I bought it and threw it into heavy rotation. This album is definitely worth the hype and is better than the other two. A straight classic it is. He received production from DJ Toomp, Kanye West, Cool & Dre, Nottz, J.R. Rotem, Scott Storch, and others. Some tracks feature Ludacris, Common, Raekwon, Chrisette Michelle, Ne-Yo, DMX, and Raheem DeVaughn. Some outstanding tracks was Bulletproof Diaries featuring Raekwon. Raekwon went on a lyrical massacre on that track. Another was Ya Heard featuring the most underrated Ludacris. After listening to that track, I can't understand why Ludacris isn't getting his shine. The beat on that track was also fire. But the most outstanding and my personal most favorite track is Angel featuring Common and produced by none other than Kanye West (which is the song playing now). That beat throws up a slow but chilled out bouncey bass that you can ride in your low ride drop top caddy to. It definitely has that west coast swag on it. Common comes in up first on the beat and brandishes his hip hop swag as he rips the beat up. He got me wishing it was his song. A very great track and a very great album. Everyone needs to take time and cop it! Next stop, Gym Class Heroes-The Quilt, September 9th.
